Indonesia Journey Virtual ("we," "our," or "us") operates a virtual airline hobby platform for flight simulation enthusiasts. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data transparently in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and global data privacy standards.

The Data We Collect
We only collect data that is strictly necessary to run the virtual airline platform, manage your pilot profile, track virtual flights, and prevent malicious registrations.
Account Data: Your name (or chosen username), email address, and account password (which is securely encrypted and hashed).
Simulation Network Data: Your VATSIM CID, IVAO VID, or POSCON ID (used solely to verify your network pilot standings, validate flight activity, or import flight hours).
Flight Data (PIREPs): Information generated when you file a Pilot Report (PIREP), including your simulated flight route, aircraft type, virtual landing rate, flight duration, and simulated tracking telemetry via our ACARS software.
Technical Data: Your IP address, browser type, and operating system (collected automatically via web server logs to protect our infrastructure against cyber attacks).
Why We Process Your Data
Under Article 6 of the GDPR, we must have a lawful reason to use your data. We rely on the following bases:

How We Share Your Data
We are hobbyists, not marketers. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
Your data is only shared in the following limited scenarios:
Publicly on the Platform: Your virtual pilot name, rank, assigned virtual hub, and flight statistics are visible on our public pilot roster, live tracker map, and historical flight logs on www.indonesiajourneyvirtual.org.
Third-Party Integrations: If you link your pilot account to our community Discord server or use third-party flight-tracking infrastructure (such as vAMSYS, smartCARS, or specific ACARS frameworks), limited identifiers may pass securely between platforms to manage your access permissions.
Legal Obligations: Only if required by law or to investigate a severe, malicious breach of our community infrastructure.
Data Retention
We only keep your personal information for as long as your account remains active within Indonesia Journey Virtual.
Active Accounts: Your account details and flight data are securely kept as long as you remain a registered member.
Inactivity Clean-ups: To practice data minimization, accounts that are completely inactive for more than [e.g., 6 or 12 months] may be safely deactivated, deleted, or fully anonymized.
Upon Request: If you ask us to delete your account, your personal details (email, IP records, name) are permanently wiped from our active databases within 30 days. Your historical virtual flight logs (PIREPs) may be anonymized rather than deleted so that our global airline statistics remain accurate.
Your Rights Under GDPR
Regardless of where you reside, we recognize your data control rights under the GDPR. You can exercise these rights at any time by emailing us at contact@indonesiajourneyvirtual.org:
Right to Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You can fix inaccurate or incomplete profile data directly inside your pilot dashboard or by contacting staff.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You have the right to request that we completely delete your pilot account and personal data from our systems.
Right to Object/Restrict: You can object to how we process your data based on community legitimate interests.
Children's Privacy
Our platform is built for adult and young-adult simulation enthusiasts. In compliance with both international GDPR guidelines and the Indonesian Government Regulation (Peraturan Pemerintah/PP) Number 17 of 2025 (PP TUNAS) regarding child protection, users must be at least 16 years old (or the corresponding legal digital consent age in your jurisdiction) to register an account without verifiable parental consent.
We are committed to safeguarding the digital rights and safety of minors. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from anyone under this age. If we discover that a minor has provided us with personal data without verifiable consent, we will take immediate action to permanently delete it from our systems.
Cookies
We only use essential, functional cookies. These are tiny files stored on your browser to keep you securely logged into your pilot dashboard during your session and remember basic interface settings (like your language preferences or theme settings). We do not use intrusive cross-site advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect updates in our site features, ACARS systems, or global regulations. If we make changes, we will notify you via an announcement banner on www.indonesiajourneyvirtual.org or via our Discord communication channels.
